SSG Donald H "Don" Bates It cuts out a huge distance for ships travelling from Boston to New York and points South and in reverse, those ships heading to Boston and points North to Canada! I've seen U.S. Navy Destroyers, Frigates, Submarines, Tankers, Cruise ships and more going through this huge canal... Awesome to watch from the shoreline...
