Hawaii, the island not the state, has instituted rolling blackouts due to shutting down an electrical generation plant. The average electric bill for a family of five is $500.00 per month.
The destruction of fossil fuel electric generation for the promise of green energy is 'little g' great if you had the green energy generation infrastructure was in place. But it isnt... yay, brown and blackouts.
