I am glad this group of relatives of former POWS "placed a wreath in U.S. red-white-and-blue colors at Poland's key war memorial, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw, in honor of Poles who fought in the war and to thank Poland for preserving the memory of the U.S. POWs" SP5 Mark Kuzinski.
It seems this visit to a freer Poland helped bring closure to many and open the eyes of each of those who visited the former POW camp. If Poland was still part of the Warsaw Pact I would expect the reception and experience would be significantly different.
