Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - But the danger radius on a 500 pounder makes it a little iffy when you're trying to neutralize someone standing 50 feet away!

Well they don't call them dumb bombs for nothing, but you're right, at 50 feet I'll go with the grenade launcher. :-)

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Strap a JDAM on that dumb bomb for thousands of dollars less than the GBU system (which also has satellite guidance now) and we can be "Direct". SDB (like the MK-81 from back in the day) has way less collateral damage.

Like it! Not sure we dropped MK-81s from B-52s, may have, just don't remember.
