Honestly, this is one of those hot button issues. Our constitution already affords us the right to keep and bear arms. Further, it says that right "shall not be infringed". Since the current administration cannot legally disarm the population, they bring up gun control every time some idiot goes on a killing spree. Statistically you have a much greater chance being killed in an automobile accident than you do being killed by a mass murderer. Mass murder makes for sensational news while a run of the mill traffic fatality is pretty boring in comparison.
I cannot say it's a non-event but it's not the problem it's being made out to be.

CPO Joseph Grant It's not that it's a "non-event" but a "statistical non-event" and once you add in Socio-Economic factors, America is AMAZINGLY SAFE. I mean crazy safe.

Sgt Kelli Mays - it seems like they are looking at the ones that matter the most. Veterans, I know of quiet a few that are afraid to get much needed help for their PTSD due to pelosi (sp) for fear of having their gun rights stripped.
Granted there have been a few that have made some, poor choices, I still that that we retirees and combat Vets will be our countries last line of defense, or, the ones that will take our country back from tyranny.
And that is what they are afraid of

It is too bad Pelosi was speaker for so long. She is.....well...too long for me to type what I think of her.

No I am not surprised Sgt Kelli Mays. POTUS is acting somewhat foolishly which he does every now and then. While the murder of the policeman may be unrelated to Obama's comments it would not be unusual for some wannabe to murder to draw attention to the act

Yep...acting foolishly as usual. I think any time he has the chance to jump and and talk about gun control, he takes it.

LTC Stephen F. "acting somewhat foolishly as he does now and then?" I have been waiting for a little break in his "acting somewhat foolishly"!

CSM Charles Hayden - I was trying to be kind to the current holder of the office of the President because of previous Presidents. I disagree with many of President Obama's positions if not most of them. Many of what I disagree with are deliberate on his part and not merely foolish missteps.

LTC Stephen F. Absolutely, POTUS adheres to the agenda he espoused way back when!
