Cyanide-laced Tylenol kills six

Some of the copycat crimes referred to at the end of the article actually happened In Kansas City when I was in the Lab of the KCPD. We had a copycat make a stab at infamy by altering some headache medicine at a couple of local pharmacies. It proved to be a much more severe case in that he killed a person who knew of his crime and was supposedly getting ready to rat him out. Caught the attention of network evening news. I was on all three channels, commenting on two, hauling the body out of the house on all three. Wow!!!

This was plastered all over the local paper when it happened, front page news for three days.
