Day 8 RIP RIDE 4 Vet's - The Colonel Arrives in Omaha, NE

RallyPoint Members, Connections, and Friends Day 8 is in the history books and we start Day 9, the last day of this historic RIP RIDE 4 Vet's that has taken us from Castle Rock, CO to Alan K.'s wonderful house and family in Belmont, NW and back, riding over 4,163 miles.

Day 8 was only 484 miles from Chicago, IL to Omaha, NE, but it was a nice hot day reaching 98 degrees as we rode across Iowa. We're still getting donations and that is great thing as well work hard to abolish veteran healthcare debt across this county.

Let's not give up on Day 9 here everyone. Keep getting the word out on social media and I will do my part in Colorado on 9 NEWS Sunday evening with a Live Interview to talk about this great RIP RIDE 4 Vets, what's coming up next year, and how we can continue to donate for this great cause.

Good day my friend COL Mikel J. Burroughs and thanks for sharing your daily trip report for the 2018 RIP RIDE 4 Vet with the goal of eliminating medical debt for military veterans.
I miss SRA Christopher Wright who dropped off RallyPoint earlier this month :-(

Last year I paid my wife's medical debts. My debts have been covered since the VA began paying me disability in 2011 and treating me in 2013. TRICARE does not correct mistakes quickly. My darling wife has resolved to use the military medical system and insist they treat her instead of outsourcing treatment. TRICARE has been withholding payment to the two civilian medical doctors that our military primary care doctor coordinated treatment for my wife. Bureaucracy can be mind-numbing when waiting for processes to resolve.
I fell on my sword a few times for my soldiers and NCOs a number of times. Thankfully in most cases we got their situation resolved positively.
