And while blousing your boots may serve the purpose of keeping your slacks from flapping in the wind, loose fabric from catching while jumping out of an aircraft, or just keeping dirt from finding its way between your toes, the act of securing the bottoms of your trousers can be hard work.

In boot camp we were not allowed to blouse them until second phase. Then if you screwed up for punishment in addition to bends and motherF**kers, push ups, etc. they made you unblouse them to make you look like you were first phase recruits again. It was a privilege in boot camp that you earned.

Those are a lot of "hacks" for sure. Never took me more than 10 seconds to blouse my boots.
