Sgt Lee is fantasizing about the death of the GOP. His fantasies have no basis in reality.
A State government trifecta is a term to describe single-party government, when one political party holds the governorship and majorities in both chambers of the state legislature. The following are variations of the term:
Trifecta: One political party holds the governorship, a majority in the state senate, and a majority in the state house in a state's government.
Trifecta plus: A trifecta and a working majority of the state's court of last resort siding with the political leaning of the party in power.
Trifecta with supermajority: A trifecta in which both legislative bodies have a supermajority, commonly defined as either 60 percent or two-thirds of seats held by a single party.
As of March 30, 2024, there are 23 Republican trifectas, 17 Democratic trifectas, and 10 divided governments where neither party holds trifecta control.
As of January 2024, 41.7% of the country's population lived in a state with a Democratic trifecta, 41.0% lived in a state with a Republican trifecta, and 17.4% lived in a state with divided government.

So, Sgt Lee... if it is not too much to ask, can we please have a little anesthesia before you start your autopsy?

The New York Journal added: 'The Republican party was undecided whether to be more amused or annoyed when a progressive Rally Point poster informed it today of the report in New York that the party was dying in poverty under Trump ... The political party, while not perhaps very robust, is in the best of health. A spokesman said: ‘I can understand perfectly how the report of our illness got about, I have even heard on good authority that it was dead. The Libertarian party, a cousin of mine, was seriously ill two or three weeks ago in Oregon, but is well now. The report of our illness grew out of its illness. The report of our death was an exaggeration.’
