Yep, I was on both sides of that Coin.I was 18 in the National Guard ...in Ohio. In May of 1970. I was also there at the Airport when my brother came home from Nam after TET. One day he was in the Jungle the next day he was home. Passionate stances all around. And more than a few who understood blame the war not the warrior. And there were bad actors, and con artists galore...in every arena from Politics to Protests.....and the cycle hasn't stopped...yet.

I'm sure that is still going through the heads of troops that went through that BS. I saw it in 72 when shipping to the far east at San Fran. wasn't so bad coming home as the war ended while I was in the far east. Some of them being subjected to the protester were people from my home town and they still talk about the greeting they got both on the way over and the way home

Sgt Jim Belanus and there we have it, the emotional pain is tormenting because the words are locked in the memory and heart. Every Vietnam Veteran I have encountered has either not been able to voice the pain or the pain would come out as agony.

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney La Palazada by Lucho, of course I can tell by the chords, it is very festive. So, as well as enjoying the outing, did you learn the language?
