Gretchen Wilson - Redneck Woman

I was fortunate to link up with a young thing in Va. when stationed at Langley AFB in the early 80’s .. I didn’t meet her until ‘83 and her 4 years was nearly up.. We kept our relationship under cover and she got out and became Civil Svc working at Finace doing her old AF job. We brought our relationship out into the open .. S’one tried to Tell me that even though she was now a civilian GS4 and my being a SSGT. Our relationship was still improper.. Excuse me.. she’s a Civil Svc.. so what’s the prob, I don’t see any prob, IMHO think he was kinda jealous.. She had worked in travel, auditing vouchers and expeditionng them.. I took and copied a voucher
And filled the copy out as I went and when I got back she took it and an actual and transcribed what I put on the copy to. The actual form.. she couldn’t actually process for pay but got it put through faster(her fellow worker handled that part).. 4 of us went on that Deploy.. She brought our checks to the orderly rm.. (mine was done, finance Travel NCOIC held mine up until the other guys checks were ready, so I still had to wait... He told me he wanted to keep it looking proper and above board.. all it would take that s’body complains I got my check faster..
I met her initially when our group had a special brief for a deploy by her and her Supervisor.. because where we were going .. it couldn’t be with a general group of people..
It really made the time filling our vouchers easier.. when we returned they all went in a envelope with her’s and her Super’s name on it..
it seems they got a lot of vouchers that way.. Just before separating she gave me my voucher and envelope (I still had to stamp it) pretty much filled out except for dates .. when I got home and put any additional plus signature on the voucher and mailed it.. she called a few days later, she had recieved it and processed it.. I had put the Credit union code number and it was in my account a couple days later... (4). S’times I got a survey when I was in about the service I recieved.. I thought I’d recieved another...it came a week later.. So I filled it out and sent it back.. I got a few other letters in them post card letter envelopes.. I like those.. keeps message private.. for a few months the letters quit coming.. Then I had a visitor at my door.. it was ‘Liza.. she had a new position and was going to Wisconsin... Going to a Reserve Gp.. it was a while back So I don’t remember which and can’t find the envelope..
But not by Milwaukee.. hmm..?
Oh well.. maybe get a call or a mail..
