Did our criminal pass the NICS checks? That's all the FFL has to go on. I'd think with the same purchaser coming so often in NICS, there'd be an algorithm flagging the name. If there is, did the Feds alert the local FFLs that there might be a problem with said purchaser? This is anti-gunners thinking they can get rid of guns by putting a couple of dealers out of business. If the hoplophobes are afraid, that's on them. I don't think it's about a fear of guns though, I think it's fear of the people retaliating to tyranny.
