Football to most of the world is known as soccer in North America primarily. Football motivates many to do things they might always do. The "football hooligans" of UK were infamous.
There have been many losses of life at soccer matches over the centuries as one side won out over another and as you point out weather has also generated its shares of stampedes leading to death of many.
Hail as a cause of human stampede is a much rarer occurrence TSgt Joe C. Thanks for reminding us that in the Himalayan nation of Nepal, a sudden hail storm generated panic among the spectators in Katmandu during a soccer match in 1988.
God knows exactly how, when and where each one of us are to be born and how, when and where each one of will die.
Very people imagine that going to a sporting event will be the place where they die.
My hope is in Christ and I have been prepared to die for a long time yet I enjoy being alaive as long as I can non matter what happens to me.
