May 30, of each year, National Hole in My Bucket Day is observed. This wacky holiday is in honor of the fun children’s song; There’s a Hole in My Bucket.
The song which has origins in 1700 Germany, is about a back and forth conversation between Henry and Liza. Henry needs to fix his leaky bucket. In each stanza, Henry asks Liza for advice. In the end, he needs a bucket to carry water to repair his bucket.

Good evening my friend SGT John " Mac " McConnell and thank you for posting another entry in the series of made-up-holidays. In this case National Hole in My Bucket Day brings to mind the idea of a bucket list to accomplish before you die or somebody kills you :-)
The metaphor bucket list combined with hole in my bucket presents a conundrum for those who seriously develop bucket lists :-)
While parts of the bucket list would leak through the hole? Seems like a question suitable for Rowan and Martin's Laugh In :-)
Of course the unofficial holiday of Fixing the Hole in my Bucket Day follows on the heels of National Hole in My Bucket Day :-)
