A JMU student submitted this dead veteran's name to register unfortunately. Fortunately in Virginia we are required to show a government ID when voting. I usually show my disabled veterans Veterans Affairs ID card Maj Marty Hogan.
Virginia is cracking down of fraud thanks to the legislature primarily.
This week I submitted an online request to vote via absentee ballot. I needed to provide my full social security number and my Virginia drivers license [or Virginia ID] which was going to be confirmed by DMV before my absentee ballot could be approved. I also submitted my 93-year-old mother-in-law's information for her to receive an absentee ballot.
The dead can not vote in Virginia unless they die between submitting their absentee ballot and the election.
Absentee ballots are a vulnerable area which is why verification of the individual applying is crucial. Hopefully each state is strengthening the requirements to vote absentee.

It will be interesting to see if the FBI finds that there was criminal intent in re-registering these dead people; their grasp of the obvious is somewhat slippery these days when politics is involved.

Maj Marty Hogan, The Dems always blame the GOP, or Bush. Those politicians need to wake up and realize voter fraud does happen, no matter what state you live in. Except Texas. There is no voter fraud in Texas. :-)
