Of course we all know the speech and it’s historical significance. But it is also a masterpiece in writing and delivery. During undergrad my Public Speaking professor explained how it is probably the best example of effective public speech in history.

Hear it, you notice He never said anything about being better than anyone else, he just wanted equality and fairness so the Blacks would not be judged on the color of their skin or the past history of the Nation- but what they could do and be recognized for it.
