Sgt Kelli Mays, I watched it too and caught the part that it's already here in every state but Alaska. The only thing I saw to help keep from getting it is to stay sprayed with Deet or a mosquito repellent. Another thing that can be done is to ensure there is no standing water in yards, old tires, etc.

except it can be spread via human contact. Deet isnt enough .

It's all about the almighty $$$$! Sadly! Once these species start moving to the western hemisphere thats when 'prevention' kicks in. WHO, CDC, UN track theses issues for years.
