Thanks for reminding us TSgt Joe C. that the generally ineffectual League of Nations recognized the perpetual neutrality of Switzerland on this day in 1920.
Switzerland had after all been neutral for centuries prior. The mountain heights and the strength of their military forces acclimatized to fighting thousands of feet about sea level had generally kept the Barbarians outside the gates. the Swiss bankers ingratiated themselves to others with their banking secrecy which enabled others to keep money hidden from prying eyes.
