When I took documentation of 100% disability to the Kentucky (Boone County) license bureau for my new, annual, car license plates, I was told that I was NOT eligible for the exemption because my 100% really wasn't accurate. The clerk told me that I am "only" 80% disabled and the unemployability for the additional 20% was NOT a disability. So, I had to pay for the license plates. When I had lived in next-door Kenton County (Kentucky) I was considered 100% disabled and I got the exemption. Calling a state employee in Frankfort, KY I was told that the Boone County clerk was correct and the clerk in Kenton County was wrong. . . .
