Very interesting. I love the old school rank on the sleeves before the Army went to collar insignia. Also, no chin strap on the helmet. I forgot that we used to wear it that way.
When I joined the Army in 1981, we still had some old M-16A’s in the unit. I thought the A1 was fairly new then. I didn’t know that the A1 model went back to 1968.
