That is sad but expected from Jens Stoltenberg SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL
NATO is taking the low road and I expect they will kowtow to Turkey to a large degree to "keep" the sometime ally in NATO. Turkey is playing NATO off against Russia as Turkey negotiates with Russia.
I have no sympathy or support Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The fact that Russia and Turkey are reviving economic plans and talks on Syria makes sense since they are neighbors across the Black sea and Russia needs Turkey's good graces to move vessels to and from the Mediterranean Sea from the Black Sea ports
I would say that Russia and Turkey have been marginal allies in "our" fight against terror. Russia has been preoccupied with its allegiance to Bashar Assad and its fights in South Dagestan and Chechnya and Turkey has been shoring up its allegiance with radical Islam while Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been president and has been doggedly determined to put down the Kurds.
