President-elect Donald Trump has been known to select the best people for positions for decades SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. He recognizes that if he selected somebody who completely agreed with him one of them, one of them would need to resign.
South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is an excellent choice for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. She is not a yes woman by any means and she has the unimpeachable character and demonstrated wisdom to serve as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations IMHO.
I completely agree with her stand:
1. halt to resettlement of Syrian refugees in the United States unless they are vetted to our satisfaction.
2. the United States must push to hold U.N. member states responsible for their actions and strengthen whistleblower protections after multiple incidents when U.N. peacekeepers have been accused of sexual abuse in a number of African countries.
3. unlike lame-duck POTUS Obama's outgoing U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power, Governor Haley would have voted against U.N. Security Council Resolution 2334, which condemned Israeli settlements in in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
4. in reference to the ongoing battle against ISIS “I do think that [ISIS] has to be dealt with. I just think it needs to be done responsibly, knowing that we have a measurables on what we’re looking for, where the end goal is, and knowing where exactly the start and stop is,” Governor Haley said. “I say that as the wife of a military combat veteran, I say that as a sister,” Haley said.
I wholeheartedly agree with the US Senate confirming South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
I concur with Sgt Kelli Mays's response.

LTC Stephen F. I I feel the same. Trump has chosen folks that will be great in their positions...some of the folks he's chosen even disagree with him on some issues....Trump said "we do not see EYE to EYE" on some things, but I think that's a good thing because they are the experts, not me. Now, what other president has done this? Most presidents make their choices (I BELIEVE) by what their DONATORS tell them to do....If Hillary were voted in...the companies and people who gave her millions would be pulling her strings...just as OBAMA did...THE LOBBYIST for different companies such as ENERGY companies would have told him who to chose for energy secretary etc.... TRUMP is no one's puppet.

Perhaps President-elect Trump at one time read the words of General George Patton, "If everybody is thinking alike, then somebody isn't thinking." LTC Stephen F.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL I think she is a great choice...and Trump has already said many times that some of the people he's chosen for positions will not always agree with him...and have already not agreed with him on some issues. To me, this is a smart move/choice for Trump to make...it'll make him WELL ROUNDED in his thoughts and decisions he'll have to make.
