Pointing a cell phone camera at a potential perp may work in cases when there is one coming from one direction without a stocking mask or other disguise Sgt Kelli Mays
Mace or especially open or concealed carry of a hand gun would be better IMHO.

Thanks, Kelli! I just had my brother get me LE grade mace & pepper spray (looks like a pink lipstick tube) for my travels in not so nice NYC locations. hoping never have a reason to use.

Col Dona Marie Iversen I hope you never have to use it either. I got one for my daughter...well, three of them...one to keep in her car, one to keep in her apartment and one to keep on her key chain. lol....
