I have not had a chance to view the draft tax bill yet PO1 Tony Holland. I would not rely on the our local Washington Post in any event for an unbiased review.
In this town it is challenging to find an unbiased review of anything related to politics, unfortunately.
A title which includes the phrase "the little discussed" indicates the hubris of the editorial staff. Nobody they know may have discussed this part of the bill but that doses not mean it is not being discussed by any means.
The article author seems to believe the repeal of the alternative minimum tax only benefits the wealthy.
Simplifying the tax code needs to begin somewhere and IMHO eliminating the alternative minimum tax seems to a reasonable action assuming it is part of an effort to simply all federal taxation.
What is especially ironic is that in the suburbs of DC $500k to $1M is not a huge salary. Many in this are make much more.

The AMT kicks my ass every year. What good is it to try and work hard and earn more money if they just keep taking more and more?
