Well as somebody who has lived in the shadow of Washington, D,C since 1989 I learned long ago not trust the Washington Post for anything remotely linked to political news PO1 Tony Holland
I certainly trust President Donald J Trump to do what he can to get Congress to simply the tax code.
The flatter the tax the better IMHO.
10 percent of $100,000 is $10,000 and 10% of 1,000,000,000 is $100,000,000. Of course progressives tend to believe that the wealthier you are the higher percentage you should pay in taxes.
Jonathan Swift would have had a field day lampooning the benighted individuals who support socialism and redistribution of wealth in a manner similar to applied communism.

LTC (Join to see) - In the early 1970s when Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward were investigative journalists they were a force to be reckoned with challenging the Old Lady of newspapers the New York Times.
They were compromised in the 1990s with looking the other way too many times during the impeachment of William Jefferson Clinton.
I have lived and been assigned in the Washington DC area since 1989.
I saw a number of occasions especially after 9-11-2001 where the Washington Post was dead wrong on their reporting because I was at events they were covering and their reporting didn't match the events.

I do not think the a the conservatives have noticed that that supposed simplification of the tax code translatedmto.removing the deductions from the middle.class while retaining,or increasing them for the rich. The supposednsimplications are nonexistent.

And I can not find a more reliable source. Everyone I ask a conservative for a relive source they either point to the Minestry of Propagada at Fox or a tinfoil hat source.
