AMA says no thanks to the Republican proposal to replace the ACA.
"It is unclear the exact impact this bill will have on the number of insured Americans, and review by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office is still pending. The ratings and analytics firm S&P Global Ratings has already estimated that as many as 10 million Americans could lose coverage if this bill becomes law, saying that between 2 million and 4 million people could lose the insurance they purchased in the individual health exchanges under the ACA, and between 4 million and 6 million could lose their coverage under Medicaid."

I agree that decreasing Medicaid coverage and raising premiums for the older Americans is a slap in the face.

The AARP is starting to grumble about it also.... Rome was not built in a day and so goes for the ACA; the destructive force of repeal though is like tearing down a building- quick but not easy. Better to fix and improve in spite of its shortcomings

Not to mention a couple high profile Conservative political groups are even against the initial structure of this bill. If that doesn't wake up Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell, nothing will.

The ACA has room for improvement.......but this isn't it. Like Trump himself finally admitted.....healthcare is complicated. You can't throw together a patchwork fix in a couple of weeks, and think it's going to get the job done. It's going to be a long and tough go, if they really want to improve it in a way that serves the most Americans. As for the doctors not liking this.......gosh......what would doctors know about healthcare?
