Lt Col Charlie Brown I when to a Federal workers recuitment meeting one time. Seems all they wanted was my money. I ate their free steak dinner and said no to joining.

There was time when unions were a vital force working for the employees. However that being said that time has come and gone, unions these days have very little impact on the working conditions. Many laws have enacted requirements that once were demanded by unions. As a federal government employe, I will not join any union. The same was true when I was a college student and worked part time for UPS. The Teamsters were the union of choice, I was told that it would be in my benefit to join. But as a student I felt my money was better spent on my own needs than on a union.
