Even though Ottawa Chief Pontiac’s attempt at a surprise attack on Fort Detroit failed SP5 Mark Kuzinski his name lives on "forever" in the Pontiac fleet of automobiles.
That Indian chief would be rolling over laughing if he saw how the pale faces and their darker brethren have done so much to ruin Detroit through failed national and local policies.
I hope and pray that Detroit turns around an blossoms once again.

An interesting but abbreviated reading. My own forefathers participated in "Pontiac's Uprising", attacking British posts through out the upper "Old Northwest Territory". We had greater success then he.

As a side note, Gladwin as well as all the enlisted 'Brits" were from the 63rd Regiment of Foot, the Royal American Regiment, soon thereafter the regiment was renumbered as the 60th Regiment of Foot but was still known as The Royal American Regiment for quite a while.

Originally the recruiting of enlisted had taken place among the German & Dutch settlers of Pennsylvania while the officers were actual Crown officers from one source or another. The 60th ultimately became "The King's Royal Rifle Corps" and continued as such until amalgamated with the 95th Rifles into "The Royal Green Jackets" in, I believe, the 1960s.
