Re-read that very carefully before proceeding. If you, like I, believe that our current government is destructive, you may also believe that we don't have to alter the Constitution. Rather, we should dust it off and try again to follow it. And no, the Constitution did not create slavery or even tolerate it. Nor did it deny women or any persons of any race or religion the right to vote. Those were the product of a government that was an imperfect implementation of the Constitution.
