That makes sense SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL but it is shame that the US government which knows how much each service member receives in salary and allowances does not have a way to track which need assistance for their families.

It's not like they have a database to track all Military dependents....It really wouldn't be hard for the military to crunch the numbers themselves, they just don't want to do it. They only (x) in the equation is spousal income. Everything else is pretty much plug and play.

SPC John McDuffie - actually the medical system does track each service member's family members status - for instance I was notified about care and when my dependents aged out.

That was sarcasm, I was specifically pointing out the DEERS system. This is a classic example of the Government not utilizing the resources it already has.

SPC John McDuffie - thanks for confirming tat you were sarcastic about the DEERS system. My medications affect me sometime more than others and I blanked out on the name of DEERS - like a deer in the headlights :-)
