This week has been a particularly visible one for the Russian military in the air and at sea.
On Monday, the government unveiled what it said was the first official footage of its stealth fifth-generation fighter, the Sukoi T-50 PAK-FA, in flight.
The twin-engine aircraft appears only in glimpses and with other military planes — including the Mikoyan MiG-29K Fulcrum-D and Sukhoi Su-33 Flanker-D naval fighters, the Su-35S fighter and Tupolev Tu-95 Bear strategic bomber — in a slick three-minute video produced in honor of Russian Aerospace Force Day.

My Buddies, My Visitors, "Bear in the Air" Kept me busy at CINCPACFLT SPINTCOM/FOSIC and Adak, AK. It can be Maritime Recon or Bomber and you really don't know it's mission profile.

For decades the Russian demonstration of might in their annual May Day parades gave intel assets a glimpse of what Russia had been developing and fielding to confirm suspicions and most likely info from other sources SP5 Mark Kuzinski Russia is adept at disinformation as well and has been known to push the idea of greatness when average was actually the reality.
I expect that the Sukoi T-50 PAK-FA has significant capability and that it will have a roll along with unnamed stealth bombers which are probably being developed/fielded.

Once upon a time, Russians produced some very original aircraft designs, some very good performing. Now, whenever I see something "new" from them I have a sense of deja vu
