Thank you my friend CW5 Jack Cardwell for sharing Sister Sadie performing Vernon Dalhart song "Prisoners Song" twice it seems
"Sister Sadie is an inspiring musical collaboration bringing together some of the best women bluegrass music has ever claimed" - Alison Krauss
Sister Sadie
Dale Ann Bradley is 5 time IBMA Female Vocalist of the year & brings her beautiful heartfelt vocals to us, along with her special talent of finding songs from other genres and changing them to fit our style of music.
Playing mandolin for Sister Sadie is none other than the very talented and soulful Tina Adair. Tina is such a powerful singer and musician & brings a youthful confidence to our group.
Joining us on fiddle is the always charismatic Deanie Richardson. If you've never seen Deanie play live, you're in for such a treat. She commands the stage like no other. Deanie has performed with Bob Seger, The Chieftains, Vince Gill and Patty Loveless.
On banjo, we have Gena Britt who comes from the great state of North Carolina has played with several critically acclaimed bluegrass bands over the years & is known for her solid & tasteful banjo playing.
And last but certainly not least is Beth Lawrence on acoustic bass. Beth is well known & respected by her peers as a phenomenal bass player. Beth free-lances as well and brings a comedic element to our stage show!
Put us all together and we're SISTER SADIE. We can't wait to share our music with you!!

Prisoner's Song by Vernon Dalhart
Lyrics
"Oh, I wish I had some-one to love me
Some-one to call me their own
Oh, I wish I had some-one to live with
'Cause I'm ti-red of liv-in' a-lone
Oh, please meet me to-night in the moon-light
Please meet me to-night all a-lone
For I have a sad sto-ry to tell you
It's a sto-ry that's nev-er been told
I'll be car-ried to the new jail to-mor-row
Leav-ing my poor dar-ling all a-lone
With the cold pris-on bars all a-round me
And my head on a pil-low of stone
Now I have a grand ship on the o-cean
All mount-ed with sil-ver and gold
And…"
Thanks for mentioning me SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL I responded to Jack's first post earlier.
