There was a cease fire and somewhat peace brokered between the two until Hamas started this stuff...Yes they do not play by Geneva convention rules...no terrorists organization does...to defeat the enemy you have to play the enemy and take them out whenever and whereever you can within the bounds of what your country abides by. Can't tell you how many times we have had to turn our pilots off targets w eknew 100% were beingheld by insurgents but the "political" fallout was to great only to come back and bite us in the keister the next day! Again, I have no issue with Israel continued fighting. Hamas brought this event on themselves.
