Since the National Army Museum will be located over 80 acres at Fort Belvoir, VA I hope that it will be located in area of Fort Belvoir that will be fenced off from the rest of the post. That way visitors will not need to go through one of the post gates which would slow down post traffic and add additional risk since museum visitors won't need to be vetted SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL.

Off post or off base museums are great for the public; like you mentioned LTC Stephen F., it will likely not slow traffic down going through the gates.

Hi! The Museum will be publicly accessible off of the Fairfax County Parkway. There will be no access from inside Fort Belvoir. We want to make sure that everyone will easily be able to visit the Museum.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL and LTC Stephen F. most of the museums nowadays are locate doff the installation just for that very reasons. The West Point Museum used to be on one of the old halls and now its off post, just like the Fort Benning museum.

Ive donated t the Army museum, Ive got the founding sponsors hat and not a week goes by where i dont get another solicitation from them!
