“Pura Vida” Welcome to Day 7 in Uvita, Costa Rica as we say farewell and goodbye to Operation Costa Rica for now with a return in January 2022 to check on further progress – Check out the videos from my good friend and business partner Steve Durgin – he got the very best “Whale Watching” videos on some very rough water.
Farewell can mean goodbye forever or temporarily. This will be a temporary pause for us as we continue the adventure and Life Readiness Center in Costa Rica. That reminds me of this quote…

The eleven marines, one army solder and one Navy medic who were killed along with the 170 or so Afghanis and three British citizens probably expected to survive through last Thursday into the future. The two ISIs-K homicide-suicide bombers expected to die. God is absolutely just. HE has already covered the sins of HIS own and HE judges the soul of the unsaved individually. 'And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.' I pray that each of the service members killed in the twin homicide bomber attack at Kabul are resting in peace. Enable each to rest in YOUR arms and protect them from dreams. I pray that YOU motivate trustworthy people to comfort and intercede for each in the coming months and years.

Good Saturday morning Col Burroughs and Posse. It's definitely been a busy and rewarding week for you and Steve. I can't wait to hear about the trip.
Goodbyes and farewells...we make them all our lives. We grow up and move out, we make decisions and move on. Life as we know it, sometimes ends and we have to say farewell to a person, a job, a place. Sometimes we get to say hello again. The paths we take are never straight, but we must follow them to the end where there will be an opportunity for one last farewell.
Right now many of our brothers and sisters are saying farewell to Afghanistan. Some are there who never expected to see it again. Some are reviewing their time spent there or trying to help those they said farewell to. If you are one of them, know we stand by to support you should you need to share those memories. There are lots of places and resources; don't say your farewells alone. And please let us not let anyone say a final farewell (suicide) over this. This decision helps no one, least of all your loved ones.

I expect you appreciate the types of challenges which stimulate your mind without too much stress on your talents and resources. No doubt you are aware of the admonitions of the LORD to submit our plans to HIM and rely on HIS guidance. ‘Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.’ [James 1:12 ESV]
I pray that you and I heed the admonition of the LORD about responsibilities associated with the future.
a. 'For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.' [‘Jeremiah 29-11-13 ESV]
b. ‘For it was not to angels that God subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking. It has been testified somewhere, “What is man, that you are mindful of him, or the son of man, that you care for him? You made him for a little while lower than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor, putting everything in subjection under his feet.’ [Hebrews 2:5-8 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Saturday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Sunday morning.

I pray for wisdom, discernment, humility, endurance in selfless service, and compassion and for each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer. I hope and pray that each of us submit our plans to the LORD and follow HIS guidance and correction as quickly as we are able. LORD, I pray YOU give each of us ears to hear YOU and eyes to see what we need to see. 'Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life" For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.' [James 4:13-14 ESV]
LORD I pray for clarity of purpose and focus for each of us in our daily walk of faith. YOU alone know what the future holds for each of in this life. Give us ears to hear what YOU Holy Spirit know we should do. I hope you and I submit our plans to the LORD and do not resist any changes HE makes to our plans, goals and agenda. You prepare us through challenges and trials as YOU mature us in YOUR perfect timing. ‘Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.’ [Proverbs 19:21 ESV]
I pray that each of the service members killed in the twin homicide bomber attack at Kabul are resting in peace. LORD I pray that YOU bless the spouse, children, parents, siblings of each of the deceased with peace as they grieve. I am thankful that YOU bless each with joy when they need it most, dear LORD. Enable each to rest in YOUR arms and protect them from dreams. I pray that YOU motivate trustworthy people to comfort and intercede for each in the coming months and years.
