Good Sunday morning Col Burroughs and posse. Hope all is well for all with prayers for our brothers and sisters recovering from illnesses and surgeries.
Have you ever worked really hard to avoid something only to have it happen? Or perhaps you have worked hard for something and yet, it didn't happen. Sometimes things are just meant to be or they are not. Or perhaps the timing is wrong (that's the one that happens to me most often). What can you do? Have faith that it will all work out and keep striving for the best outcome. Sometimes that's tough to handle but if you have faith and courage, it usually works out in the end.

LORD cleanse us from corrupt bias and prejudice based on external characteristics of people. ‘Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. LORD I pray that YOU do what is necessary to change the minds of elected and appointed officials who are pro-induced abortion, pro-euthanasia, and biased against individuals based on their skin color, social standing, and or heritage. I lift POTUS Joe Biden and his wife Jill, VPOTUS Kamala Harris and her husband Douglas Craig Emhoff to YOU and pray that YOU bless them with wisdom which begins with the fear of the LORD and compassion for the pre-born. 'For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.' [Psalm 139:13-14a ESV]

Thank YOU, LORD for sanctification of each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters in YOUR perfect sequencing and timing. YOU are perfect and YOU love each of us perfectly. YOU always have our best at heart and YOU change our soul into the perfect reflection of YOUR image. YOU tolerate our foibles and YOU enable us to be attracted to opposites. Sadly behavior, speech, and appearance that attracted us in the first place sometimes repels us. I pray for spiritual maturity for each of us. Enable us to demonstrate love and avoid focusing on changing others into the image we have in mind for them. ‘For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. I pray for humility, eyes to see as YOU see people, and a strong inclination towards selfless service for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or listens to it. Empower and enable us to love those YOU bring across our path by demonstration of YOUR love supplemented with words if necessary. I pray for an increase of the fruit of the Spirit love and self-control for each of us. Help us to pray for our neighbors and even our enemies to develop compassion for them.
