Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. We'd live in a much better place if everyone endeavored to do their best at whatever it is that they are called to do.
I like this Mark Twain quote as it applies whether you are referring to your job, your family, your spiritual side or your life as a whole. We should endeavor to be and do the best we can with every task, every opportunity we see in front of us. That way we will have few regrets at the end.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Great pick for your main quotes today and I know and you know that we both endeavor to do our very best for veterans and our missions Charlie... That is our life's work now that we've left the military and it is so rewarding to be able to help a veteran, civilian, or first responder through their demons and struggles... Let's continue to endeavor on our paths and make a difference...

“Today’s message is about ‘human endeavor’ in which we all strive to achieve something of significance or importance to each of us. We can do that with our intelligence, are will power, ingenuity, and/or our leadership. That leads me to this quote…

‘It should be one’s sole endeavor to see everything afresh and create it anew.’ — Gustav Mahler

May you always endeavor to be truthful and build trust among those you lead and your friend that you frequent; may all of your endeavors be positive and forthright; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I expect your demonstration of servant leadership inspires those you lead and depend on you and builds self-confidence and confidence in the teamwork. No doubt you are a maturing encourager improving your ability to listen. I hope you and I will continue to share what we learn with those we love and encourage their hopes and dreams. 'So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.’ [Philippians 2:1-4 ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

I pray for an increase of love, compassion, trustworthiness, and childlikeness for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or listens to it. YOU admonish us to trust YOU implicitly and explicitly in childlike innocence. I thank YOU for sanctifying each of us and transforming our soul into a reflection of YOUR image. 'At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. [Matthew 18:1-6 ESV]
I pray YOU empower each of us to demonstrate love to our neighbors and even our enemies as an indication that we indeed love YOU, LORD. I pray that you use each of us to be peacemakers within our families, among our friends and among our neighbors. Let YOU love shine to us and through us to draw others to YOU and reduce tensions and increase love and respect among those we interact with. 'You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions' [Psalm 45:7 ESV]
As springtime is moving towards summer, I pray that YOU rejuvenate the soul and bring hope to the grieving widows, widowers, divorcees, abandoned and forlorn among us and those we love. I thank YOU for transforming us by renewing our mind. Help each of us to encourage those who need a demonstration of love and compassion. 'Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.’ [Philippians 4:8-9 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members slept well Wednesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Thursday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good “Wednesday & Hump Day!” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader from the blue skies of the Greater Boston Area, where it is currently 70° and but only headed up to about 72° due to an easterly wind coming in from the Cape Cod and the Atlantic Ocean... It will still be a delightful day...

Today is: “Human Endeavor Day!” Why Not?

"If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours." - Henry David Thoreau

"Success in any endeavor does not happen by accident. Rather, it’s the result of deliberate decisions, conscious effort, and immense persistence...all directed at specific goals." - Gary Ryan

"Organization doesn't really accomplish anything. Plans don't accomplish anything, either. Theories of management don't much matter. Endeavors succeed or fail because of the people involved. Only by attracting the best people will you accomplish great deeds." - Colin Powell

"The most important human endeavor is the striving for morality in our actions. Our inner balance and even our very existence depend on it. Only morality in our actions can give beauty and dignity to life." - Albert Einstein

"A civilization that only looks inward will stagnate. We have to keep looking outward; we have to keep finding new avenues for human endeavor and human expression." - John L. Phillips

"I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country... corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed." - Abraham Lincoln

"Leadership is a human endeavor that focuses on people, not us!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
