Strange timing- the class I am currently taking we had an essay due last week- Would I Inspire Me and next week will be Would I Follow Me? Both centered on leadership and your personal style. I believe a solid foundation as an NCO prepared me for much of what I have done as an officer. I don't see myself as a leader most times- I see an orchestrator. Putting pieces where they almost fit and helping them soften the edges. I see a leaders biggest duty is to prepare those coming after you. Be humble, but not timid. Never promise what you can't deliver- and always be consistent.

Great Monday starter COL Mikel J. Burroughs hope everyone has a great week

As the Orchestrator Marty you're still the leader my friend and an awesome leader at that. You can tell that you have all the skills, qualities, and character of a great leader in your responses each and everyday. You're always humble and lead from the front. I too garnered a lot of experience as an NCO (SSG/E-6) and then built onto that with every level of command from the Company level, to Battalion, and then culminating at the Brigade level with almost 8 years of command time. You just keep learning and I'm still learning at the Board of Directors level and the Chairman level - you just keep sharping the point on the spear my friend. Have a great day and thanks for the awesome leadership lesson Maj Marty Hogan I'm here to learn, how about you?

Good afternoon my friend and brother-in-Christ Maj Marty Hogan.
LORD GOD I pray that YOU will directly guide each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters to gracefully lead those we have charge of either by organizational structure or by YOUR design in the family. Strengthen us to persevere in doing good and help each of us to be confident in YOU.
Help us to both learn and train others to learn with humility and respect. Give us understanding of how we should interact with others when YOU know we each need it. Help us each to laugh more and smile more and to laugh with others and never at others. In the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Those of us who know what we're looking at know what leadership is and it is the little things like being first up last out and prepared for the day to start. Leadership cannot be delegated You have to earn the trust and sometimes it's a small window seize the moment show the respect and take that first step be in front of things. You can't lead while you're trying to catch up. Semper Fi Capt Hogan believe in your self and trust your preparation.

Good Morning COL. "Leadership" We are always working on our leadership skills, that is where my "New And Improved Daily" comes from...don't rest on past successes. Always look to achieve your leadership goals in different ways as your approach will vary with each situation.....
If you want the same endgame in all....Make sure you have a few different ways to get there.
Have an excellent day COL Mikel J. Burroughs as always my best to your best....!
Rock the Day Brother....
