Ecclesiastes instructs us that there is nothing new under the sun in terms of human interaction and development. The tools and language may change and yet the lessons of love, hate, compassion, jealousy, marrying, parenting the young and burying and grieving for the dead are learned afresh by each generation firsthand.
LORD, I pray that each of YOUR adopted children is both learning lessons and more importantly training others to be successful in life – being successful in interpersonal relationships is predicated on a foundational relationship with YOU.
I pray for wisdom, discernment and safety for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this. Guide us as we walk or drive especially in snow, ice and flowing water after the snow melts. Protect us from other drivers by helping them control their vehicles.

Good morning from snowy Northern Virginia; I cleared the walk but I will be back out there again soon.
When things go wrong it behooves us to stop and ask, what did I do here? Is there something I can learn from this? Inevitably there is, but sometimes we are so busy feeling sorry for ourselves or looking for someone to blame that we fail to learn the lesson. In that case, there is a high probability that we will have the opportunity to do it all over again. When we don't like the outcome, we need to stop and honestly analyze our behavior so that we can change the results next time. What situation do you need to honestly evaluate and what changes/lessons should you take from it?
