Good Tuesday morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs and I can see you on your bike with that quote.
I am a believer in self control which is different than external control. We can't control much of what happens around us and trying to do so is a lesson in futility. What we can control is ourselves; how do we react to what is going on. I do my best to plan for unexpected situations and then I let it go. Tomorrow I have an all day event in Maryland. It should take 90 min to get there. I am giving myself in excess of two hours for the drive; I cannot control the traffic but I can control my response to it.
Where is the line for you? What can you control and what do you let go and perhaps give to God/fate/greater power?
