Good Sunday morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs Many of us are up early working on preparations for the week ahead and watching the storm track. Red Cross NCR is readying our vehicles to respond where needed and our drivers are on standby as of today.
Inner guidance, the wisdom of one's soul, rarely leads you wrong if you have learned to listen and follow it. I have to say as the world gets busier and noisier it gets more difficult to hear it. Find a place and a time where it is quiet and you are at peace and commune with yourself for just a bit. You might be surprised at what you hear. Are you on the path you chose? Are you with the ones you wish to be with? Is your heart at peace? Perhaps you are doing what you need to be but if not, trust that the "small voice" will help direct your steps.

LORD I am grateful beyond measure that YOU bless each of YOUR adopted children by indwelling our soul. That is more wonderful that I can imagine and yet I know it is true by YOUR Word.
Purify us by YOUR Word and protect those we love – especially the young in age and the young in the faith. Empower those of us mature in the faith to stand-in-the-gap as watchmen and women alert in the spirit armed with YOUR word and using the shield of faith to quench the flaming arrows of the evil one directed at those we love.
I am thankful YOUR Spirit guides our conscience. YOU have transformed our mind from reliance on self alone so that we are led by YOU.

Where the mighty American Bald Eagles roam in the mighty MOUNTAINS OF CASTLE ROCK, COLORADO AMONG THIER EAGLES-NEST. I know the view must be MAGNIFICIENT on this day September 1, 2019 as you might glance upon the mighty snow capped mountains headed into the month of October. I would respond a lot throughout the week, but I am full-time DOD employee doing contracts for the Defense Contracting Management Agency.
