Anyone that thinks that the Obama / Kerry Iranian Appeasement was a good deal should NOT be allowed to operate a Motor Vehicle of have access to an ATM card. Further, to think that the Iranians do not have a secret nuclear program is delusional. Trump should publish the details of the Iranian Appeasement ASAP and lets let Obama defend it again.

LTC (Join to see) roger that on the informative read and share, this read emphasizes the Arms race and its dangerous legacy, which is no secret to our national security IMHO.

There was another story on here this morning by 1stSgt Glenn Brackin related to Iran warning us not to reveal the details makes me think we were given the shaft.

FYI in the heat of the Cold War, a ship of Dodge commercial vehicles was bound for Iran when the Iranian revolution took place LTC (Join to see). The vessel was at sea and a deal was made to limit the sale of those cars to deployed service members in Europe. I had just been assigned to 1/52 Infantry battalion in Bamberg when I earned of the deal. I took a train to Bremerhaven and picked up a Dodge Omni sans catalytic converter with one years worth of car insurance. I drove from Bremerhaven to Bamberg, Germany along the Autobahn.
The Mullahs took over Iran and did many evil things. However, I am thankful for that Dodge Omni which could go over 100 MPH on the Autobahns back in the day.

Interesting that you benefited from the unintended consequences of the Iranian Revolution and the Israelis got the F-16 jets that were supposed to be sold to them as well and he's Jets were prepaid which eventually bombed Iraq reactor in 1981 and you got a Dodge Omni export for the cheap!

The dodge Omni wasn’t a bad car. Rather ahead of the curve sleekness and aerodynamics at the time.
I prefer my autobahn car but I still have a 77 Monaco in mothballs.

LTC (Join to see) - That's not bad at all. Same weight as the BMW. I think it could make that mileage. With those twin water cooled turbos it's like the car requires almost no power at all at a reasonable speed. If I could just get myself to drive at a reasonable speed for very long I could give you a good number.
I have been deep in the bowels of that ship.
Not my idea of a fun place to be in a battle. Not that anyplace in particular is a good place in a battle.
