The Marine Corps Is Ending The ‘Assaultman’ Infantry MOS. Here’s Why

I was an 0351 from 1964 to 1968 I carried and fire the piss tube in Vietnam. when the we got the first LAAWS they were a POS I had to keep dumping water out during the monsoon. Everything was flooded. In 1964 The CO sent me to Demo school so I would know how to disarm mines and booby traps we did not always have engineers with us. Fox 2/7 1964 - 1966, Hotel 2/1 Feb.1966 - June 1966 Alpha 1/2 July 1966 - March 1968 0351 the whole time. This MOS has to flexible if nothing. they said you are doing this you just said OK. One thing I did like about the OLD Corps no weapons company. Weapons Platoon stateside Vietnam it was weapons squad in a rifle platoon.

After reading the story, seems they are going to pass a few of these out after homeroom....!
