Holding a grudge is like holding a hot coal to throw at the other person, you get burned more than they do.

Are all the negative and sometimes extremely disparaging comments about Republicans the effects of holding a grudge? :)

We call letting go of the grudge: grace. God forgives His grudge against you on the Cross and empty tomb; the least we can do is the same toward others!

This is true. I don’t hold a grudge but I cut them out of my circle. I don’t want to be around hateful people. And when Jesus told us to love each other, I believe it means we should pray for people, so I do — even those who have hurt me.

MSgt Dee Ann P. - I agree. Sometimes geography and “unfriendliness” can lead to a decrease in the hate. Jesus said to love one another….sometimes it is necessary for the person who is causing you heartburn and distress. Oftentimes God restores relationships in way that surprise us. Other times He lets us spend the rest of our natural lives with a bit of distance.
