SGT (Join to see) I Suspected but I didn't Know Until I read this Article just How Aggressively the Disinformation Agents at the "Heartland Institute" were Pushing their Propaganda on Science Teachers.

I have read where the ocean levels are actually FALLING. About 7 mm over the last two years. Some scientist now says the water is sequestered in a dry region of Australia. I ran a little math and I maybe wrong but think about this. If my math is wrong please correct me. The oceans surface area is 510000000 sq Km. 10 mm= 1 X10to the -5 Km so 10 mm of water would occupy a volume of 5,100 cubic Km Lake Eyrie has a volume of 480 cubic km. You think a lake twice the size of lake Eyrie would be noticed suddenly springing up. Reminds me of when the global warming hiatus was found. These folks said the heat was being sequestered in the ocean. Another said it was being sequestered in the gobi desert. Finally they just adjusted historical temperatures added added to current temperatures and made the hiatus go away. Yes I am skeptical of climate science,I think most thinking people should be. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/a-scientist-explains-the-mystery-of-recent-sea-level-drop/
A Scientist Explains the Mystery of Recent Sea-Level Drop
The fall in ocean levels between 2010 and 2011 means the missing water had to go somewhere—and somewhere turns out to be Australia

PVT James Strait - after looking my figures over I missed it by a factor of nearly 10. The Australian lake would have to hold 10x the amount of water as Lake Eyrie . That is a lot of water to hide in a desert.

PVT James Strait - here is a link that says the lost heat was sequestered in the oceans before they cooked the books to make the hiatus go away. https://earthdata.nasa.gov/user-resources/sensing-our-planet/missing-heat
When the mercury thermometer was invented in 1714, it took the scientific world by storm. On his transatlantic crossing in the year 1724, Benjamin Franklin recorded water temperatures by periodically dipping a thermometer into the ocean. By 1850, weather stations across the globe had gleaned a record of air temperatures over land. For the first time, scientists could track Earth’s temperature. And over time, it became clear that temperature...

LTC David Brown - I have walked on and driven buy that lake many times, any water storage there is very temporary it goes form a foot of water to dry salt in just a few days
