Everyone knows how to picture the special operations troopers of, for example, the Army's elite Delta Force: Rough-looking customers with custom carbines and advanced night vision goggles stepping off the skids of a black helicopter in the middle in the night.
What do America's cyber-forces look like?
They don't have the same kind of public relations machine and they work in some of the most secret facilities in the world, but it's possible to patch together a rough picture:
They're probably a little bit less aggro. They're drawn from all four branches of the military. Many deploy overseas, but many of them also drive to work each day in the suburban sprawl between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore at the National Security Agency on the Army's Fort Meade.

FGGM has been the simmering pot of cryptic and now, cyberspace collections against enemies and friends of the US. These cryptic and outer space professionals are definitely a breed apart. However, even the most secretive offices on the planet have had their share of exposures. Espionage and traitors of the State have been uncovered from these holes in the walls type of spaces.
Enemies, like Russia and China, are constantly collecting against our spy networks and against our security apparatus, just as we do against them. They hack our systems and we hack theirs. This tit for tat game only serves to keep each other at bay and not to attempt misadventures.
I recall a network of tunnels under the pineapple fields that was so obscure, such as to not be realized from the road running next to it. Doesn't the enemy know what is there and; haven't they tried to hack it through both cryptic decoders and counterattack in cyberspace? Let's not seem naive.
