The crazy story of the man who fought for Finland, the Nazis, and the US Army Special Forces
In Vietnam, he earned the Bronze Star medal for heroism along with five Purple Hearts for combat wounds, War History Online writes.

SSG Diane R.
SSG Carlos Madden - he was a teenager when The War ended and then worked for the US Army, enlisting in the fifties, maybe under the program mentioned in the article. He retired from the Army not long after I met him but he was a nice old chap. He showed me a picture of himsel in a Hitler Youth uniform, and in his 201 file on the card that lists all your service including Foreign Service there was a notation that he had served in the Volkstum as an anti-tank gunner at the Seelow Heights in 1945.

SGT John " Mac " McConnell - would only be fair. I think it would have been hard with the philosophy of each team.
