Thank you, my friend CW5 Jack Cardwell for posting the news that Maj. Gen. Malcolm Frost handed over leadership of the Center for Initial Military Training to Brig. Gen. Lonnie Hibbard in a ceremony at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, on today, Friday April 26, 2019.
IAW established protocols, Lt. Gen. Stephen Townsend, the head of Training and Doctrine Command, officiated at the ceremony.
"Hibbard, a career pilot, is coming in from almost two years as the director of operations, plans and training at TRADOC.
“The source of power of the United States Army is the soldiers ― the young recruits, America’s sons and daughters, who volunteer to join our Army,” he said in his remarks. “IMT is the foundation of training civilian volunteers into simply the best soldiers on Earth.”

Best wishes for success to Brig. Gen. Lonnie Hibbard and the Center for Initial Military Training and most importantly to the soldiers of the US Army who will be trained by TRADOC for the foreseeable future.
Caveat, I was assigned to the United States Army Infantry Training Center [USAITC] at Fort Benning from February 1985 through April 1989 involved completely in training infantry initial entry training soldiers as company commander, chief test and evaluation and later the Scheduling officer for the USAITC.

The results will be seen by having a more FIT fighting force. changes will have to be made possibly in leadership to carry the maintenance of fitness regimens in Reserve and Guard Units ..
