Today is: "Salute and Showing Respect Day!" Why Not?

With the recent addition of the "Salute" option on RallyPoint this is a great way to show somebody on RallyPoint that you appreciate their comments, responses, posts, or you just want to acknowledge them when you've already endorsed them or voted them up.

Good morning my friend COL Mikel J. Burroughs thank you for reminding us of the time honored tradition of saluting.
In the military and at the highest level of our government, the junior initiates the salute and the senior individual returns it. The saluting is not complete until it is returned. Salute is indeed a sign of mutual respect. I learned long ago to salute crisply whenever somebody else salutes me.

I concur with you that the "Salute" option on RallyPoint this is a great way to show somebody on RallyPoint that you appreciate their comments, responses, posts, or you just want to acknowledge them when you've already endorsed them or voted them up.
Many are still unfamiliar with the process especially since when we view our profile we don't see the Salute button when we view somebody else we do. :-)
As newly commissioned officers at West Point, the tradition was to give some money to the first person who saluted us after graduation. At times on military posts, I like many others have had soldiers come 3to 4 meters after each other allow a sidewalk so that I saluted many times :-)
I salute you my friends and in Christ I salute my brothers and sisters in the Lord.
