Thanks for sharing significant events of February 6 Maj Marty Hogan To me the most significant event was in 1998 at the end of the Second Chechan War "Russia captures Grozny, Chechnya, forcing the separatist Chechen Republic of Ichkeria government into exile."
Too many in this nation forget that Russia has been fighting Muslim terrorists for a long time.
WE had a notable event on 9-11-2001 which awakened many USA citizens to the fact that Islam is not primarily a religion of peace. Russia has been fighting radical Muslims on their own territory for decades.
